The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new exhibit: “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy kicks off on Wed the 7th. The show has three types of costumes on display: First, there are original superhero costumes that were worn by actors in the major superhero movies — Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Iron Man, Catwoman (from Batman Returns, not Catwoman), and Mystique. The costumes are presented in conjunction with more sedate outfits from high-end designers such as Versace, Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, and John Galliano and others. The exhibit will run through September 1.
